What Are Dental Bridges?

Dental bridges are custom restorations designed to bridge the gap between one or more missing teeth. Bridges are made up of natural-looking prosthetic teeth called pontics which rely on your adjacent teeth on each side to support your personalized restoration. Not only will bridges rejuvenate your smile, but they also increase the functionality of your teeth and protects the bone structure of your face.

Dr. Ye may recommend dental bridges for the following dental issues:

  • Cracked or damaged teeth
  • Missing teeth
  • Support for a tooth with a large filling

Our Dental Bridge Process

You’ll receive your dental bridge in as little as two appointments to our Sudbury office. Dr. Ye and our dental team will be here for you every step of the way to ensure you’ll be satisfied with the results.

Your initial visit with Dr. Ye will include a full mouth examination and deep cleaning to prepare you for the dental bridge procedure. In addition to a deep cleaning, Dr. Ye will gently remove a small portion of the enamel. We’ll then take detailed impressions of your teeth to create your customized restoration.

Once your dental bridge is ready, you’ll return to our Sudbury office for one last appointment. Dr. Ye will check to make sure the fit and appearance of your bridge are exactly what you want before fixing it into place. After it’s secured, you’ll leave our office with newfound confidence in your smile.
